Community Choice Aggregation Program

The Village of Altamont is currently exploring participation in the Community Choice Aggregation (CCA) program.  The Altamont Village board is considering  joining the surrounding municipalities of Voorheesville, New Scotland, Bethlehem, and Guilderland in purchasing electric power on behalf of residents with the goal of reducing costs, achieving price stability, and having access to 100% renewable energy.  

At the November Village Board meeting we had the first of three information sessions on CCA.  The second session will be at the January 7th Village board meeting with consideration for a local law at the meeting in February.  More detailed information about the CCA program is available on NYSERDA's website.
