Welcome to the Altamont Police Department's Childrens Page

The internet can be a fun place for kids, but you need to be careful and don't talk strangers that you meet online.  You should follow the same rules that you have with your parents when you meet a stranger on the street... don't talk to them without your parents around.  Never give your real name to anyone that you meet online, and who you do not know, even if that person says that he or she is a police officer or another kid.  If anyone ask for your name or address do not tell them and go and tell your parents right away!

Some of the web sites below are either just for kids, or are web sites that have activities for kids.

Remember when you are out playing, riding your bicycle, or playing sports with friends and you see a police officer, come up to us and say hello.  We are your friends and enjoy talking to you!  Sometimes we may be busy so if we cannot stop and talk to you, just make sure you say hello!

Remember Safety first, when at home, when at play, while riding your bike and even at school.   Visit some of these fun sites to help teach safety tips for you and your parents.
